BPC-157 (Body Protective Compound) is a peptide consisting of 15 amino acids derived from gastric secretions.

The peptide can be taken orally and is quite stable in stomach acid compared to other peptides.

Studies show similar effectiveness of oral vs injectable BPC-157 with enhanced systemic absorption with the oral form. Oral BPC-157 was found to be superior to its injectable form regarding its ability to be neuroprotective due to high levels of serotonin in the gut.

Animal studies have shown BPC-157 to be neuroprotective by restoring damaged cells in the brain from diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, and amphetamine-induced psychosis.
